The only thing left is the carb, Have it rebuilt, sounds like a needle valve or the float is sticking. Check the choke, make sure it's open first before having it rebuilt

I would also check routeing of the fuel lines, if they are too close to hot parts it can vapor lock (Boil Fuel). You could also shoot come carb cleaner down the carb to see if it will help. and check the wires to the pump and sending unit on the tank the could be loose and causeing the truck to shut off.

Why will my 1988 chev truck not strat when its getting too the throttle body. But will run when your pouring gass in the throttle body.

Is the fuel pump turning on? If you don't hear it turn on try banging the actual tank with a rubber mallet while someone tries turning the key. If it it does turn on, it's definitely your fuel pump. I can walk you through changing it if it comes to that

1985 Chev Celebrity wont stay running

The filter you chg. an inline filter? Is there a filter in the carb.where fuel line connects, some had a brass screan in the carb. you can chk. the fuel pressure without it running, just unhook line at carb. put it into a plastic bottle or something to catch it and have someone turn engine over if it squirts out good thats enought for it to run they only put out about 6 to 8 lbs. of pressure. I don't think that solenoid would keep it from running, when it will run on either. but maybe if you unplug it and see what happens. It suunds to me to be a fuel dilivery problem, either something restricting the flow to carb. or you got a bad pump.
