It's harder then it seams, you have to disconnect the engine mount on the drivers side to get enough room to remove and replace the old oil lines. Other then the engine needing to be raised a bit, it's simple. Good luck and hope this helps, it takes about 3 to 4 hour to do this job and don't for get to use lock tight and keep everything clean.

This should be a straight forward swap to a new line. Loosen fittings, remove clips, unscrew retainer on block and drain oil from old line to avoid messy spills and replace.

That is the oil cooler. Remove the oil filter. That exposes a large 'nut'. Remove the nut (and the 2 lines going in/out) and replace the oil gasket/O ring. If original oil cooler is dent or damaged, replace cooler as well. Could also just come from the lines going in and out of the cooler (put new hose clamps on).

Engine oil cooler line leaking. Is it easier to bypass the cooler or replace?

its best to replace the oil cooler lines.this should have the lines that run from the radiator to the oil filter housing and when you replace the line you will get both lines as they are made be replaced together.bypassing the line is hard to do takes more time and will leak as you can`t get it to seal properly.

Oil hose leak 97 4x4 Blazer

Oil cooler lines that lead to your radiator or to a cooler mounted in front of radiator. The hoses are quick couplers with o-rings so there is no way to tighten. I don't know why they would leek so often but they usualy go bad where the rubber line gets crimped to the steel line. Not sure if you can get a different oil filter block without the oil cooler line hook ups. This way you can eliminate the cooler lines,or remove the quick couplers at both ends of where your cooler lines hook up and just run hydraulic hoses in place of your coller lines.Where i live you can get hydraulic hoses made at hundreds of places but may not be so redily avalible where you are.

Need to replace transmission line to the cooler on a GMC Sierra

Its fairly easy, you dont have to replace the fittings at the cooler. if they are leaking up at the cooler, it needs to be replaced, but if not, its just simple line to line, not too long of a process

please rate well! hope this gives you the info you needed!
