Question about 2005 Peugeot 405
When I put my foot to the floor it takes much longer to get up to speed,it seems to struggle a lot and sometimes the revs are high and it still seems to creep along. I had just had two drop links fitted and my alternator reconditioned and when I drove ot away from the garage it sounded quite throaty! after a day or two I was filling the water jets up and noticed that they had left the airfilter lid off! could this of contributed to loss of power?
Yes it can because of the air flow control valve, also if its revving up and not going anywhere then the clutch is slipping
