MY ac is broke :`(

My air conditioner stopped working... It used to blow ICE cold... now it just blows the outside air... not cold... Could it be the relay swtich??? and if it is where might that be located and where could i find that part the relay and how much is it. Can I find it in a Car part store or do i have to order it from the Pontiac dealership?

did you check the pressure in the system to be sure it does not have a leak? You can get an A/C pressure gauge at most auto parts stores, also check and see if compressor cycles if it turns on and off after a few seconds it is likely the system has a leak and no freon, if compressor does not engage at all then it might be a switch or other electrical issue.

If it's blowing air, even warm air, it's not the relay. Probably needs to be charged,(more freon in it)
Have the system checked, could also be a blend door under the dashboard not working, or the compressor. Without testing the system, it's hard to say what it is.

AC works for about 300 miles then stops and blows hot air. New AC compressor and freon charge. After sitting for a while it will again blow cold.

I think you have a similar problem to mine. At highway speeds is when it happens. And it is not blazing hot? Right?
Your evaporator is freezing up - as this happens the ice surrounding it prevents the flow of air over the evaporator coils and the result is warm air coming out of the registers. If I turn off the AC for about ten minutes and let unit melt the cold air comes back. This does not occur in stop and go driving.
I combat it by either running the fan at a higher than normal setting to increase air flow over the evaporator and then turning off when it gets too cold, OR using the air control to allow warmer outside air to enter into unit at highway speeds to prevent freezing up.
Newer cars have more sophisticated sensors and controls to prevent this but some older vehicles are subject to this anomaly.
Since it works fine under normal conditions I have not messed around with the freon level in system. If you release a tad of refrigerant the low pressure switch will shut off the compressor sooner and help minimize ice buildup. Good luck.

How do I check the Air Conditioner spark plugs in my 2002 Malibu?

Sounds like it is low on the coolant which causes it to only work part of the time. You could probably take the car to a auto parts store and at least here in the midwest, they can help recharge your freon/R22 so you have a good working air conditioner. If that is properly charged and leak free, then your air conditioner compressor might be going bad, but then you would hear a lot of belt squealing when it wasn't working. Most likely though it is just low on the freon/R22.

By the way, air conditioners don't have spark plugs......LOL

No ac

The ambient air temperature sensor is bad or has a connection/wiring problem. It is not blowing cold air because it thinks the outside air is less then 35degrees. When the computer sees outside air less than 35 it disables AC so that ice will not form inside the vehicle and in HVAC system. The sensor is directly behind the front grill. You might be able to check it for connection/corrosion/frayed or damaged wires. If no evidence of this I would replace it.
