Im not 100% familiar w the vehicle, sounds like a wheel or trans bearing. Since you were talking ABS, then there is a ABS sensor & ABS Ring, Good luck, Frank M ( sounds like abs ring !?

Sounds like your brake disc is either worn or warped! Dangerous and not over exspensive to get checked at s garage, but do not leave it!

Top end engine noise to Ford C-max

Sounds like you might have starved the bearings of oil which in your words , you've got a knackered engine. Probably too late for a pump.

Battery and ABS light coming on

There is a part on the engine called the "Alternator", the alternator is what charges up the battery and supplies the power to the cars electrical system when the engine is running, when the voltage output of the Alternator is to low it causes the Battery warning light in the dash display to come on (to alert you of a problem in the charging system), the low voltage from the alternator also is what is causing the ABS warning to come most likely. So at this point you will need some basic testing done to determine the cause of the low voltage, this can be the alternator is defective (most likely reason) or other things like wiring issues to the alternator.

1997 ford expedition makes a whining noise and pulls to the left when the 4x4 is engaged

whinning noise ?? dont know without hearing it ,pulling to the left requires a four poster lift and then a good examination with a nice long crowbar in all the silent rubber block bushes ,something is worn or perished to excess along these lines ,doesnt this vehicle require a yearly full mechanical inspection by a authorised test centre to be allowed on the road as this vehcile sounds as though it could be in a dangerous condition

Rear end whining

if you have a constant whine that raises pitch the faster you go, you have improper backlash adjustment in the differential (rear end), if you have a whooping noise that whoops faster as you drive faster then you have a bad wheel bearing, both can be the result of low fluid level in the rear end.

ABS Light Came on and Loud Whining in Rear End?

Well you can remove the sensor in the diff and make sure that looks ok they g obad quiet often also woulnd not hurt too remove the rear diff cover and inspect the rear end if it is whining and you dont see anything wrong i would refill it with lucas oil/grease and start praying check the pinion too and see if it has any play in it

Id get a mechanic to look at it. Sounds like a rear end bearing problem. Axle bearings pumpkin bearings.
