You need to get the battery charged enough to have the key's to release from the ignition switch. Take care that you do not damage the ignition switch over a simple boost to the battery. There is a micro switch on the gear shifter that signals the ignition to release the keys, but with no power to the gear shifter switch, the key's will not come out. Good luck and hope this helps, boost the battery or charge it enough to power the electrical system to the blazer and your should be able to get your key's out of the ignition. Keep me posted, be glad to answer any other questions you may have.

How do I replace the ignition switch?

Your almost there. Look at where the steering wheel sets and the ignition switch. There will be a bolt to remove or not. ( I haven't worked on your car), No bolt, then look to the top of the switch. There is a hole there. You have to use a small punch or screw driver and push down, when the key is in the run position, then pull the cylinder out. Either way, the key has to be in the run position.

My 2005 durango want cran over

What happens when you attempt to start the engine? If nothing happens when you turn the key,you need to check the battery to determine its state of charge. Many starters won't do a thing unless there is at least 10 volts available from the battery. A low battery does not necessarily mean the battery is the problem, though. The battery may have been run down by prolonged cranking while trying to start the engine. Or, the battery's low state of charge may be the result of a charging system problem. Either way, the battery needs to be recharged and tested. If the battery is low, the next logical step might be to try starting the engine with another battery or a charger. If the engine cranks normally and roars to life, you can assume the problem was a dead battery, or a charging problem that allowed the battery to run down. If the battery accepts a charge and tests okay, checking the output of the charging system should help you identify any problems there.

My battery went dead in my 95 buick skylark, now the key wont even turn

The battery going dead has nothing to do with the key now not turning, however, the key not turning properly could have caused the dead battery if the ignition switch did not turn off all the way. Anyway, if the key won't turn, you most likely need to replace the ignition lock cylinder. The battery is a whole different issue. It could be a problem with the ignition switch, or it could just be time to replace the battery.

Ingnition tumbler broke cant start

If the key won't start it; it might not be the key ignition, but rather; the ignition that has a stem that goes from the key ignition down on the steering colunm. However, you can get key ignitions for them, or buy the whole steering colum then take the key ignition out of it. But, I would suggest more information is needed before I can conclude that it is just the key ignition. Hope this help~!
