How do I fix the light in the heater control?

The heater control will have to be removed and possibly disassembled to get at the bulb.

1995-98 Models
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the radio/HVAC controller cover by depressing the center pins inward to release the push pin fasteners. Be careful not to push the center pins all the way through the fasteners.
  3. Remove the push pin fasteners and pull the radio/HVAC controller cover rearward.
  4. If equipped, disengage the traction control/fog lamps/rear defogger electrical connector.
  5. Remove the radio. Refer to the Radio removal and installation procedure, later in this section.
  6. Disengage the electrical connectors behind the controller face. Remove the wiring harness clip from the module boss.
  7. Disengage the temperature and mode cables from the controller assembly by squeezing the lock tabs together while pulling the cable housing straight up. Pull the cables straight up to disengage them from the control lever pins.
  8. Remove the HVAC control panel screws, then carefully pull the panel forward and remove it from the vehicle. To install:
  9. Position the HVAC control panel to the dashboard and install the retaining screws. Tighten the retaining screws to 22 inch lbs. (2.5 Nm).
  10. Install the white temperature and black mode cables over the pins.
  11. Install the cable housings into the clip grooves, then push down to lock them into position.
  12. Reattach the electrical connectors to the back of the control panel face. Install the wiring harness clip to the module boss. Be sure that the wiring harness does not bind with control lever movement.
  13. Install the radio.
  14. If equipped, reattach the traction control/fog lamps/rear defogger electrical connectors.
  15. Install the radio/HVAC controller cover by pushing in at the clip locations.
  16. Install and lock the push pin fasteners.
  17. Connect the negative battery cable.

AIMING

  1. Park the car on a level surface, at least 25 ft. (7.6m) from a wall that is perpendicular to the ground surface. Make sure there is no excess weight in the trunk, unless you normally travel with that amount of weight in the car. Bounce the car a few times to settle the suspension.
  2. Measure and record the distance from the ground to the center of each fog light lens.
  3. Turn the fog lights on and adjust so the hot-spots (lit area of most concentrated intensity) are 4 in. (10cm) below the height of the lenses. The ADJUSTING screw is located at the top right corner of the fog light.

Changing fog light bulb

I just replaced the fog light bulb on my 2008 Azera. I went under the car and removed two screws from the protective shield. I pulled down the shield and reached up and turned the fog light socket and pulled it out of the housing, remembering which side the wires were on and removed the old bulb (Don't touch the new bulb with your hand) and replaced it with the new bulb. The job took less then 15 minutes
