Question about 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

VW Beetle bluet emperature light started flashing

The bluetemperature light started flashing on my beetle on my way into work this morning...i noticed it about 30 minutes into the drive. any idea what could be causing this? I just had the 55K check up a month ago...thanks!

Start with checking your coolant level( only use VW coolant if low). If full, change out your coolant temp sensor. Buy the one from the dealership. The others are ****.

My 1999 vw beetle won't start in snow


Old new beetle VW harness has contact resistance problems(vibration of wires) and needs to be recrimped the long wires(vibration can be stopped by silicone rubber anchoring). Cold weather make battery voltages low and needs recharged with handbrake on(headlamps off) 10 minutes warming engine up the whole winter.

2000 vw beetle flashing red and beeping but car is not hot


Coolant is low enough to trigger the sensor. There's a pressure leak somewhere in the system. The sensor is faulty.

99 VW Beetle looks like parking lights are on. Turn off switch???


I heard there was a recall for this and the dealrship should change your brake light switch free of charge, give them a call.

battery sounds like it has a dead cell, you can take it to autoparts store and have them check it first before buying a new one.
