I have almost the same problem.

My brake lights quit working, but everything else works just fine.

Any ideas yet????

Keith, I forgot to add a piece of information. I really appreciate your quick response. My high mount brake light still works. Would the brake switch still be the problem?

Yes I am serving in the Air Force and I really appreciate your support

Your brake light switch has gone out. It is located on the brake pedal and is a very easy cheap fix. When it goes out, it doesn't send the signal to the bulbs to turn on. The bulbs are still good they just don't know they need to work. Replace that and you will be good to go. I'm assuming USAF is for Air Force. If so, thank you so much for serving our country! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Keith.

Yes, it is still the brake light switch. If you have a third, middle light, it goes out the other side of the switch but you still have to replace the entire thing. This is a very common occurance. Let me know if you have other questions. A FixYa rating is appreciated for solving your problem correctly for you. Thanks, Keith.

Why do my all my lights work on my 2001 GMC jimmy except my low beams.

Replace the turn signal switch. All the exterior lights run threw it except the high brake light. There is a small plastic clip/switch in it that controls high and low setting. Because of heat it starts to melt and quits working.

check under and around your entire brake pedal assembly in the car. there may be a contact switch or something like it being blocked by dirt or object.

does the instrument panel lights come on when you turn on the park lights only (no headlights)? If not it could be the switch itself.

if third brake lt works it wouldn't be stoplight switch, either a wiring problem or the modules went bad again, do you have power at the modules when they are unplugged
