Hard starting, once starts runs great engine turns over for 10 seconds before it starts and often pops a little in the exhaust, sounds like it's flooded. I don't pump the accelerator at all. then once it starts, which it does all the time, it runs great.

You may have a faulty check valve in the fuel pump which should hold a static pressure of at least 1 psi to the injector.Excessive cranking can be caused by this due to the fact the fuel pressure needs to build back up in order for the injector to deliver fuel.A proper diagnostic step would be installing fuel pressure gauge and verifying any static pressure held after the engine has turned off.If the fuel pressure gauge drops immediatley to zero, this might be your source of the problem.Another source could be improper temp sensor output or crank/cam sensors therefore an E/C parameter check with a scanner could prove usefull.

Change fuel filter and try. If still does it, clean fuel injectors.

1975 351W with 2 bbl carb, runs great for about 10 minutes, then dies.

Chances are it is the ignition box on the fender. It controls the ground signal to the coil and the timing.
If you can duplicate the problem and get it to "not start" you could test the box. Otherwise it may be tough to troubleshoot.
There's a chance something is going on with the pickup coil in the distributor too.

Engine Misfiring. Rough Idling. Losing power going up hills. Engine light flickered one day. I brought it to dealer. They said cyl 5 had a fouled spark plug. They replaced it, retuned and cleared code....

It sounds like it could be a bad coil pack that is used for number 5 cylinder. It could also be a bad spark plug wire. Does the weather seem to make a difference? Try this quick check once night time comes around. Open the hood and start the engine. Fill a bug sprayer with salt water and spray the plug wire while the engine is running. If the wire is bad, you might notice an electrical arc from the wire to the engine block. The engine will probably start running rough. If this occurs, then the wire should be replaced. If it doesn't, then the coil pack can be tested with an ohm meter. I hope this information has been helpful to you. Good luck with your problem and thank you for using Fixya.com.

Engine shuts off

nope, distributor plugs and wires, change those and the pcv valve. Run you total no more than $100 for parts if you shop around a bit, since parts prices vary greatly. the spark is not entering the cylinders correctly to burn the fuel properly, replace those items and you will not have this issue unless you have some rare deadly engine disease- :-) Hope it helps and have a nice day!

Car died rotton egg smell

Not sure if engine coolant smells like rotten egs when it burns inside the cylinders , but it sounds like you may have blown a head gasket. Coolant and/or oil could be getting inside combustion chamber. Another possibility is that the catyletic converter might have broken up and colapsed onto the screen where it goes into the exhaust. Might give the rotten egg smell and block the exhaust enough to cause backpressure sufficient to cause the engine to run poorly too.
Try putting your palm over the exhaust pipe , if the exhaust is coming out in pulses (pop ,pop, pop) thats normal , if it is just slowly flowing out with no noticable pulses , I would check into the cat converter problem.

Hard starting, excessive crank time

try changing the fuel filter and turn the key on and off several times before starting engine. once running check the vaccum line on the fuel pressure regulator.the regulator can leak fuel from that connection.
