passenger rug is dry. It is definately water I have smelled it. Like I said its only when I run the fan with the vent. Never with the ac

If your passenger rug is wet, it's a dead giveaway that you have a leaking heater core. But if the water you are seeing is water, it can be coming from the evaporator as condensation (collect some and look at it) You may also have a leak in the system under the hood and all of that needs to be looked at (smell may be drifting in through the heating /vent system) Are you actually adding a large amount of coolant to the engine?

If you smell antifreeze inside the cab then it will going to be a heater core leak.

Use white paper and see if the fluid green (or same color as you radiator coolant.

ID the fluid is VERY IMPORTANT right now.

Condensation fluid from AC is just water.

There is a condenser drain behind the dash (near center). The passage way can be clogged and water may spill out on sharp let or right turn,

ID the color of the fluid first.

Monitor the coolant fluid level. If it goes do the look for the source of the leak.

Water leaking roof

Water leaking from the roof of your CAR? That should have absolutely no effect on your engine, unless it's leaking a huge amount and flooding the whole passenger compartment. Likewise, water leaking from your GARAGE roof shouldn't have any effect unless the whole garage is flooding really pretty deep.

So... I'd say you have one problem with the roof, and a second unrelated problem with the engine not starting.

Leaking water from the trasmissin

The transmission is not full of water, it contains a special type of oil that is red in color. What you see is water condensation from the AC system. This is normal drain off.

The head gasket can still be the problem, small amounts or coolant can be seeping into one of the cylinders and being discharged threw the exhaust. The coolant could also be seeping on the outside of the engine block. The best way to check to see if this could be the problem,is to place a radiator pressure tester on the vehicle and pump it up to specs. Then remove all the spark plugs and look for coolant to show up in one of the cylinders, and look for the seepage on the outside of the engines block.

We get a considerable amount of water on the front

The vehicle has drain holes or tubes that allow the condensation on the evaporator coil to drain. If these are blocked by debris then the water will raise to a level capable of leaking into the vehicle.

That is just condensation. Usually if you have a cracked water jacket you will get white smoke out of the exhaust rather than raw water\\
