Possible defective ignition switch. Try gently moving key in switch when problem occurs to see if power becomes restored. If so, suspect ignition switch failure. Also, check all ground wiring for being tight on frame area as well as starter solenoid connections for being tight

I have a 1992 Mercury Cougar LS I have no turn signals but I have wipers I checked the fuses but there is nothing going on

Did you check for voltage at the turn fuse circuit, use a test light. Even if the fuse is good if no voltage, the circuit is still dead. The fuse circuit goes hot with the key on.

With the use of a wiring diagram to show wire colors, it is possible to check voltage going into the steering column and coming from the steering column for turn signal voltage.

Reset service light 2001 yukon

the answers above do not work. batter cable off does not work. that turn on 5 pedal thing is BS. also some a holes online are saying undo the fuse cover under the steering wheel and and unplug the ECU - well the fuse panel is not under the wheel, it's on the drv side of the dash. AND even when you pull that there is nothing called a ecu. funny hu. there is not a ECU fuse in the under hood fuse box either. service engine soon light is STILL ON. It was flicked on from the air breather intake being loose. that has been fixed. gas caps on tight. engine oils been changed.

My '98 Buick Regal won't start randomly but fires right up when it does. randomly when you turn the key to start it does absolutely nothing. No warning lights or clicks - absolutely nothing. All the...

It dosent need a new steering column. But It very well may need an ingnition position sensor. It is a sensor that identifies what position the key is in. Obviously if it was malfunctioning it would not recognize you have the key in the start position, and when it does it suddenly fires. I had a 95 Regal that had the same problem, not a cheap one but pretty necessary.

Does not blow when heater is on? blower motor

First check fuse panel for burned fuse, if all o.k., Take a look up under passenger side dash, it's usually a common spot. When you find it, locate wires going into it & probe with 12vdc test light for power with key on & fan in run position. If light comes on by probing one of the wires, your fan motor is shot, if nothing at either wire, start back tracking for relay & switch malfunction.
