My 1991 chevy s10 2.5l want crank it's getting red spark

Hi Austin:

Counting on my fingers I make that over 25 years old, so the maintenance history and mileage become very relevant.
I'd be considering an ignition tune-up as an appropriate first step.
Changing spark plugs, plug lead harness (wires), rotor, cap, coil, Points & condenser (or solid state components.
Chances are it will show a remarkable improvement.

Replaced instrument cluster in my 2005 Chevy Z71. Stopped working after 2 days, is it bad part, or another common problem that makes the cluster malfunction

the first place I would check is all the connections in the harness for the cluster
next place would be to check the earth ( ground points ) for the cluster wires
after that talk wit an accredited auto electrician that does a lot of work on your make of car and ask if there are common failures

Intermittent charging

Generally that indication implies generator failure. Generator failure can come in multiple forms. A faulty ground will cause the generator not to charge and potentially burn it up. A severed phase wind (remember, your alternator is really a three-phase generator with a six pulse front end rectifier set) will cause the light to intermittently come on along with weak charging output. A voltage regulator failure will cause zero field current in the rotor. A brush failure will also cause a generator failure light to come on and stay on. A rectifier failure (any of the six) will cause the generator not to charge properly and turn on the MIL and generator failure indicator (looks like a battery). The condition of the battery can also cause generator failure, if the battery is defective (buckled plates, weak electrolyte, low water, etc.) it will place a very high load on the generator continuously, causing it to 'full field' the rotor which can cause the rotor to overheat and fail. Never run a generator without the battery terminals connected as this will cause it to fail quite spectacularly. Do not attempt to verify output of the generator with the battery terminal leads disconnected.

If generator failure is indeed the cause, find out why. Generators rarely fail. When they do, it usually is caused by poor ground connections, corroded battery terminals, high continuous loads, electrical faults and poorly-wired ancillary equipment, such as head units, amplifiers, inverters, etc. Always check all these out when replacing the generator. Never run a generator without the battery terminals connected as this will cause it to fail quite spectacularly.

Code po304 car wont start

cylinder 4 misfire ,now if this is a GM product then i think you may need a reconditioned ECU init as if this is the 4 cyl engine and its same as the opel astra and zafiro and the vectra then its a common fault with a 2000 to 2004/5 model the computer is bolted to the engine inlet manifold and very weak and susceptable

Have 78 bonneville.runs fine when cold but when motor warms after about 20to30klms when you give it some gas starts to miss ,timing is right new coils change points and condensers the problem just seems to...

I had a 74 bonny the coils would often times arc out after being warmed up, run the bike at night and proceed to lightly mist the coils and plug wires rev up the mostor and look for arc out spots if none are spotted look into the points you may have the set too close together or the condensors are bad either way the ignition system is breaking down because of the heat factor and it may be somthing as imple as a weak ground connection go through all grounding connections and inspect the wiring harness for kinked wires and do a continuity test acroos the breaker points to ensure proper resistance and continuity, also if new condensors for the points were not provided with points purchase a set.
