Question about Lancia Zagato

1 Answer

Good day! I have a Lancia Prisma, 84, 1.5, carburetor. There are difficulties in cold starting. When driving the car sometimes pulls and sometimes stoped. Carburettor was removed and purged, fuel pump mechanical, fuel goes, but it seems to me not in quantity. The problem may be showing as a cold or hot engine.

High voltage wires in the normal ignition distributor cap too. Ignition billed by the label 0. Give location of labels pulley and GRM. I think the problem is incorrect adjustment.

Start problem

probably (but not necessarily) starter relay. you might check to see if insulation is worn off cables. (maybe when you supply power to the starter it is grounding out on the frame somewhere.) if all else fails replace starter.

You can find references to the Bosch L Jetronic system on line. You may have to use a Fiat diagram, but they are similar. Your thermal time switch is located in the engine coolant system, between the engine temperature sensor for the FI and the thermostat. The CSI is at the far end of the injector rail.

The first part of your problem sounds like a aux air injector or the CSI, the second part sounds like a vapor lock problem. Are all your heat shields still in place?
