Usually you shouldnt get these tanks repaired because you cant "well" gas tanks because they are made of plastic. And secondly they are pressurized when the vehicle is running. Take it to a buick, Gmc,chevrolet, or Poniac dealer. They should give you an estimate first then you can decide whethor or not you want to continue with the replacement of the gas tank.

91 Buick lesabre fuel leak. What are the 5 metal lines running below the driver door? The larger center one is leaking fuel.

Only two are fuel lines, the main feed to the engine and the return line from the engine to the tank. One other gas tank line will be the EVAP line for sending gas tank fumes from the charcoal canister to the engine's intake manifold.
I think the other lines would be your brake lines to the rear wheels.

YouTube has many videos on repairing rusted fuel lines. Most people use the lines made of plastic in their repairs-takes special fittings though. These plastic lines have become very common now. In fact my '92 LeSabre has mostly plastic lines.

2002 Buick lesabre random cylinder misfires

You have clogged or cracked fuel injector. I've seen this on many GM vehicles while shopping at the junk yards. Super common problem. It happens on almost every car with the older fuel injectors that are made out of hard plastics to insulate the electrical connector that opens the injector. The gas has a pressure built up in the line and the rails that supply the gas to the injectors. That plastic gets hot and eventually gets dried out and will crack and let gas leak out, thus you have the gas fumes smelling up you car also. The gas will leak onto the intake and vaporize since the manifold is hot, it evaporates instantly you won't even see the gas leaking. Can be tested by checking the pressure of the gas at the rail, should hold pressure for a few minutes after shut down, My Mustang had this problem, I was at the junk yard looking for replacements and found there were very few that were not already cracked.

At the same time I was shopping for a GM alternator, that's when I started looking at GM fuel injectors to see if they were cracked also. I didn't have to look very hard since 80% of them were covered in silicone sealant to try to stop the leaks. This may work but only if the fuel injectors are removed and completely spotless with no residue of any type along the cracks, then a large amount of silicone should be placed completely encasing the plastic piece with 1/8" thick layer of silicone then letting if dry for a minimum of 48 hours before testing it in your car. This may or may not work, fuel injectors will have to be bought new, used will all be cracked, they're not cheap and usually sold as sets. you would need 6 and the cost could be $50 -$300+ each depending on what you need/want. High grade Silicone sealant is $5-$10 and may be found in colors that may match the plastic part.

I could be wrong but as soon as I read the symptoms I thought of this then I read all that was done and couldn't believe what I was reading. I would have started with fuel injectors right off the bat, very common. I would suggest buying 6 new or rebuilding all of yours and sealing them at a very minimum, you will end up with more problems if you continue to drive it with low gas being sent into that or those cylinder(s). May be low fuel on every cylinder but not enough to throw a code yet. Injectors are not hard to replace but can be a pain on some models getting the bolts out of the rail mounts due to design.

Code comes of for leak evac the shop ran smoke and could not find a leak I got a new gas cap, I don't smell gas help?

Make sure the computer has been reset since changing the cap. Autozone, etc. will scan for free.

The smoke test should have caught the problem provided the shop looked at the gas tank too. There can be a problem in the electric solenoid valving for the canister which can be concealing a leak beyond the solenoid valving. If the solenoid is closing off the flow, then it can also close off the leak.

As for smelling gas, its the fumes which flow in these hoses, not raw gas. If the Vacuum system draws the fumes in, or if the leak is rearward, there is less of a chance of smelling the fumes. Rushing air from driving will dissipate many fumes.

2002 ford taurus smell gas when the outside temperature is over 80 degrees

Fuel tanks have a vent tube and a charcoal cannister to capture the gas fumes from the tank. It's possible there is a cracked or loose hose, faulty fuel cap, bad canister or a fuel leak and any one of many connections. Investigate for sign of raw fuel along the underside of te vehicle, and in the engine compartment. Attempt to follow the smell to isolate the location of a leak.

do u smell coolant in the car when te doors are closed? if not it is not the heater core, have you had the system pressure tested at a shop? If I had to guess the 2 area's that would cause this are loose radiator hose clamps that just seep, not enough to get to the ground, but enough to smell the coolant, the other a slight leak at the water pump weep hole on the underside of the water pump, this can also be a seep and not reach the ground. Try adding a can of Alumiseal radiator and block sealer, comes in a little aluminum colored tube, about $3 US

I also have a 2004 XC90 and a couple of months ago I had the exact same probelm... after multiple visits to my dealer's auto shop they figured out that it was the fuel pump. They replaced the fule pump and the smell disappeared. Good luck!
