Where is sencer that is supposed to turn fan on

It sounds like temp sencer

it works off the engine temp sensor to pcm turns on the fan

the sensor is no good,they come on when it is unplugged because the computer does that to protect the engine from overheating if it sees nothing from the sensor,so replace the sensor and that should fix your problem,hope this helps

You won't know which until you check. Unlikely the wires. Fuse or sencer most likely. Check the large fuses first. If it is the fuse then check the wires as somthing the matter with them or the fan itself. Turn the fan with your hand (with engine turned off.) it should turn freely. If all this is ok then you need a senser.

the fan will run until your engine is a certain temp even if the car is not runing

the fan switch is defective, in most appication is located on the top of the thermostat housing.

sound like you have a bad sencer or relay. you can run a wire from the fan . to a wire that run on when the car start and trun off when you trun the car off.that will get you by for a short time good luck

you need to replace the cooling fan because the resistor is in the cooling fan and it is best to go to a salvage yard and have them look it up on a computer and it will tell what fan will work on your car
