What is the tappet clearance for Nissan FD 42 engine

The valve clearance specification for a 1998 Hyundai H100 2.6 diesel bakkie is:
Intake valve clearance: 0.25 - 0.35 mm (0.010 - 0.014 in) Exhaust valve clearance: 0.45 - 0.55 mm (0.018 - 0.022 in)

The 1400 Bakkie was assembled by Nissan in Rosslyn, South Africa (Nissan)

1.4L engine a very small pickup truck and tiny obscure engine
that wiki fails to identify.
buy the manual for NISSAN.
it is not a diesel ,and this list is all 1.4L listed by maker,1.4L and in year range.
GA14DE DOHC, 2 CAMS? AND ROCKERS? 12VVALVES
The GA14DE does not have hydraulic lifters, so special shims are used to adjust the valve clearance.

CGA3DE DOHC, 1,4K Sold as but is 1.348L
data super hard to source on the engine.
one photo shows head cams over valve stems, no tappets at all
see photo, I see bucket lifter there, so are shims.

CR14DE, with vvt

The Nissan CR14DE motor does not have hydraulic lifters, so special valve lifters are used to adjust the valve clearance.

so knowing this engine fact and the exact one makes this more easy

check the tappet clearance when hot should be .012" inlet and
.14" exhaust
if the engine has a lot of hours on it , it may need a pump rebuild or the injectors rebuilt but I suspect a valve problem from the tappet clearance being to tight cold

The FD 42 has hydraulic lifters no settings neccessary.

Try setting the valve clearance on your 1999 2.7 Nissan Hardboy diesel to 0.14 inches on the intake and exhaust sides.

On the intake 0.0008 or 0.0020 (it's in between these 2)

this is for the stem to guide clearance. (for the intake)

The Exhaust 0.0018 to 0.0030 stem to guide clearance.
