I just answered a P705 question that may be connected to this.
But I will add that usually transmission codes will not turn on a check engine light. The reason is the check engine light is to warn the driver that something has happened that could damage the cat converter or cause major problems with emissions.

What cab fuse panel fuse # is for od function for transmission for '06 Ford F-150 1500 XLT triton 4WD 4.6L

Over drive lamp fails. I guess or is it flashing for errors.
the service manual covers all that , buy it and read ?
problems with 4R70e transmission , not told. clearly
scanning the PCM now is what is best done.
any time a transmission like this fails to shift the PCM tells you why or how it was detected. via what. with DTC codes
why not scan it.?

OD function. real name is 4th gear is overdriven
so if the tranny stops at 3rd gear we say 4th gear is dead.
4th gear is 0.70: 1 ratio.
engine spins 3/4 turn(near) and drive shift goes 1 full turn
as in overdriven gear.
now lets talk dead 4th gear, all the ways it can happen
sadly lots. for sure you not scanning the PCM first to see why.
speed sensors lie
transmission sensor shows overheating,
engine load is too high. 4th gear makes that worse so why wreck clutch packs doing that and it sure does not.
learn the transmissions are shifted by speed and loads.
load on the engine if tops.
VSS errors, OSS errors
and more, even a weak engine, is a cause.
sorry but this is how it all works
and you can not fix modern cars and trucks lacking a good scan tool..

My s60 2,5t wont stay start when shift in gear can anyone help me please

NO YEAR CAR told is it a car ?
NO car maker told, wow, a toyoto or Volvo ?

google has zillion hits for Volvo .so lets with that.
ahhh 2.4 t is (turbo engine)single or twin?
made 2000 to 2018, S60, s60R and S60L and more.

guessing it:

2497 cc B5254T12 turbo I5 (1 turbo right not the twin,)
why make me guess YEAR and get exact engine correct
or
2400 cc D5244T10/T11/T15 twin-turbo I5
Engine is Dead, , starts/ and stalls' so both keys do that?
the IMMO lamp glows wrong and key is bad? "security lamp"

I can not decode "won't stay start, when shift gear."
yes I get the idea of stalls yes.
does that mean it does start OKAY and idles all day if just doing that."? in park?
or idles all day but shifting to PRNDL, drive , REVERSE or LOW
the engine stalls in any gear well that can be many things.
I that means engine power is super low, (as in pathetic)
1:Low fuel pressure (use a pressure meter to check it)
2: scan tool shows bad MAF OR MAP sensors.
3: spark plugs10 years old?
4: idle controls dead, IAC/ISC.

check all fuses
and scan the PCM, and for sure at idle if it does in PARK.
can I assume transmission is auto not manual shifted?

Every time I start my 06 equinox the 10 amp backup fuse blows. When I try to restart the car its no crank no start. When I replace fuse it starts fine again. Why is 10amp backup fuse blowing?

A short circuit in the wiring . Do you you know how to test automotive electrical circuits ?
10 amp backup fuse ?????? back up lights ? Video's on youtube showing how to find an fix a short . Park neutral safety switch
The transaxle control module (TCM) primarily controls shift points and lockup engagement.
The transaxle is controlled by an electronic shift system. The TCM processes input signals. From the information received, the TCM controls the transaxle hydraulic system.
The electronic shift system consists of the following components:
• TCM
• Shift Solenoid (SS1 and SS2)
• Pressure Control Solenoid (PSC)
• Lockup Solenoid
• Input Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor
• Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor
• Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) Sensor
• Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch

Have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes
When the TCM detects an invalid combination of TR switch signals, then DTC P0705 sets. DTC P0705 is a type A DTC.

The transmission range (TR) switch is part of the park/neutral position and back-up lamp switch assembly and is mounted on the transmission manual shaft. The TR switch is a multi-signal switch. The transmission control module (TCM) supplies voltage to the TR switch. Each gear selector lever position grounds one or more of the signal circuits in a unique pattern. In order to determine the gear range selected by the driver, the TCM compares the voltage combination on the signal circuits to a TR switch combination table stored in memory. Refer to Transmission Range Switch Logic .

Hard shifting

many things.
why not use any scan tool and scan the OBD2 port near knees.
connect it and look for A/T DTC error codes
btw1: all newer cars 1996 to present the A/T can go to limphome too. just like the engine ECU.
and guess what , it shifts rough or even skips gears.

all this and more is in the FSM if you care to read it. all!

THE TCM brain does that. the tranny brain.
check all fuses.
then scan it.
all cars, 1996 we do to that , every time. no matter.
The dash lamps only show 10 to 30 warnings
the PCM/TCM show 1000s..
scan it.

I have a 2001 Chevy S10 4 cylinder 2.2L Flex Fuel. I am getting readout from most all Auto Parts stores that my codes are directing me to a sensor problem. These most recent codes were C0268, C0223,...

Now what is my problem? We are not magican , an we do not have magical fix's . Testing is the way to a fix . Each DTC - diagnostic trouble code has a diagnostic flow chart or what to test . Buick Electrical Part 3 Automotive Computer Operation 1990

An the auto parts stores just want to sell you a part , just because the code has a sensor name does not mean the part is bad , all sensors have two or three wire's , all coming from the PCM/ECM - engine computer . The electrical circuit could have a open , short to ground , a short to B+ power . The PCM could have a problem . Never change parts without testing . An if that's all you can do , then you need to take it to a qualified repair shop .

DTC C0267 or C0268
Pump Motor Circuit Open/Shorted ABS problem

DTC C0221-C0227
Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit ABS problem

DTC U1000 and U1255
Class 2 Communication Malfunction Do you know what class 2 is ?

DTC P0141

DTC P0440
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System

DTC P1632

DTC P0705
Transmission Range (TR) Switch Circuit

The transmission range (TR) switch is part of the park/neutral position and back-up lamp switch assembly and is externally mounted on the transmission manual shaft. The TR switch is a multi-signal switch. The PCM supplies ignition voltage to the TR switch on four signal circuits (A, B, C, and P). Each gear selector lever position grounds one or more of the switch circuits. In order to determine the gear range selected by the driver, the PCM compares the voltage combinations on the signal circuits to a look up table stored in the PCM memory. PCM detects the selected gear range by the state change of the switch input. Refer to Transmission Range Switch Logic table.
Switch input to the PCM is represented on the scan tool as HI and LOW. HI indicates an ignition voltage signal. LOW indicates a zero voltage signal. The four parameters represent transmission range switch signal A, B, C and Parity.
When the PCM detects an invalid TR switch signal combination, then DTC P0705 sets. DTC P0705 is a type C DTC.

From reading your post an my years of experince your best bet would be to take to a qualified repair shop . You do not have the knowlede or tool's to fix these problems .

Install a Scan Tool .
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Select TR Sw. on the Scan Tool .
With the Scan Tool , observe the TR Sw. display while selecting each transmission range: P, R, N, D3, D2 and D1.
Does each selected transmission range match the Scan Tool TR Sw. display?

P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction

You haven't revealed the Hyundai Model, nor Year??

Here's info from the latest technical service bulletin:

This TSB supersedes TSB 03-40-013 to add repair information (Steps 2~3).

DESCRIPTION:

An improperly adjusted or improperly operating range switch may result in the following conditions:

• Diagnostic trouble codes:

• P0705 - Range switch signal problem

• P0707 - Range switch - open circuit

• P0708 - Range switch - short circuit or multiple inputs

• Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illuminated

• Impossible engine start in "P" or "N"

This TSB provides information concerning the proper adjustment and diagnosis of the transaxle range switch.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Attach a GDS and check for DTC in both the "Engine" and "Automatic Transaxle" menus. Go to Step 2 for 2000~02 Accent or Step 3 for 2006~ Sonata. For other vehicles, go to Step 4.

2. For 2000~2002 Accent: Check according to TSB 03-40-001. Go to Step 4.

3. For 2006~ Sonata, follow steps a,b,c below, then go to Step 4.

a. Check the rear combination lamp ground bolts for tightness and good electrical contact (refer to applicable ETM, "Tail, Parking & License Lamps" section). Go to Step b.Page 2 of 6

b. For 2006~ Sonata: Remove the center console cover and check for contamination on the M40 connector to the sports mode switch. If so, clean and repair the connector as necessary. Go to step c below.

c. For 2006~07 Sonata: Remove the front pillar cover and verify the harness is properly routed near the clip. Repair the harness as necessary. Go to Step 4.

4. Attach a GDS and select vehicle, "A/T" menu, "Current Data" and "Shift Lever Switch".

5. Move the shift lever and confirm the GDS reads the gear shift position as shown below. If so, the harness currently does not have an open or short circuit between. the PCM/TCM and range switch.

Hope this helps.

2000 mitsubishi mirage 1.8 installed a new radiator- took out for a test drive no leaks. then when i put the car in reverse it jumped then i put it in drive and it would not engage 1 2 3 d . i noticed...

you may have broken the shift cable, that's why it shows the vehicle is in park and won't go in any gear.
put your car in neutral with engine off and try to push it. if it does not move then you know it's in park and the cable is broke
