There is a door switch that has gone bad, check the connection on the sliding doors, the little metal prongs are prone to corrosion, try cleaning them and see how that works.

If door is open , interior lights may be on and killing the battery. The door switch may be bad and that may be why the door wont close.

Water on drivers side floorboard . Why?

If you have a sunroof it could be the drain that follows the front pillar letting out under the front fender. These hoses are known to plug and crack open releasing water into the floorboards.

Driver side door check along top and front edge for tears or twisted looses sections. Internal to the door water can drain down along the window and is released outside the door seal. If the bottom of the door has the opening that releases the water plugged then water will drain over into the floorboard.

just pull 1 at a time the one you want will kill lights

or option 2
remove 1 door switch at a time unplug and see results
once lights out replace the door switch in hand remember to keep a siece of string in pocket to tie to the wire so you can drive to the dealer or salvage yard push wire in body so you dont crush the clip and or loose it

Floorboard on driver side completely soaked after it rains

If you remove the door rails at the bottom of the doors you'll be able to lift the carpet and visually look for some small drain plug devices. It sounds like one or more of them is missing or that you have lost a seal in the door or window.

Venture van power door problem

It sounds as though one of the proximity sensors is faulty. Also try giving the tracks for the door a good shot of white spray lithium grease. The door may be binding enough so that the emergency reverse is kicking in.

check for a short in the keyless enter pad on the drivers door and also check the trunk, glove box to make sure these lights are going off and also have the air ride suspension checked out because ours was killing the battery all the time until I put marine battery post ends on the battery and I disconnect the battery when it is not driven
