Make sure the oil is not low first, this sounds like valve trane noise, check the valve rocker clearances they may be loose.

My 1997 Toyota Camry clicks when it idles; clicking sound speeds up when revving or accelerating and is coming from the engine block

Always check the simple things first. For example it could easily be one of the HT spark plug leads not plugged into one of the socket(either plug side or other side)It could also be a damaged HT lead sparking to ground somewhere where it passes close the the engine. This type of fault is typically a clicking or tapping noise which is only heard clearly when the engine is idling and hence quieter. Get a tthree foot length of tube or hose pipe, put one end close to your ear and start searching for the exact spot where noise out on the engine. This is quite an accurate way to identify engine noise location.

Tapping Sound from 2004 GC 4.7l Engine

If the tapping noise speeds up with the speed of the engine, it's a worn valve lifter.
If the service light is on, change oil and filter, if tapping is still there, the lifter is the culprit.

Sounds like you have a cv joint problem, or the front brake pads are worn down to metal and rubbing against the rotor, also could be the wheel bearing. Better have it checked.

Check Utube for lifter tap, valve tap, and rod bearing noise. If you pull each spark plug one at a time, plugging it back in after each one, the tapping will go away if it's a rod bearing. At any rate, on your next oil change add some valve-medic or similar additive for valve noise. Make sure you follow direction or you will get massive lifter tap if you pour it into a cold engine.
