1995 Buick Skylark and the A/C clutch is stuck car wont start.

I have a 1995 Buick Skylark and the A/C clutch is stuck. So can I use a A/C bypass pulley or a shorter belt to avoid replacing the compressor? I thought it was the starter but when I took the belt off, the car started with no problem. I remember the compressor burning out around a month ago and it came back to bite me. HELP!!!!

The A/C pulley is suppose to turn freely when not energized, unplug the wire connector from the A/C compressor, and work the pulley til you free it up. Lube it with wd40

You answered your own question? Fix the compressor! What state are you in? Do you need A/C? if not, bypass the a/c and use a shorter belt, if it does not interfere with anything.

It may be the torque converter clutch solonoid in the transmission , not a major problem. When the car heats up and dies it will feel sort of like comming to a stop in four gear in a standart transmission with out pushing in the clutch ( bucking type feeling ) what the T.C.C. solonoind does is disengauge the engine from the flywheel when you are comming to a stop ( 125 auto transmissions had a lot of problems with that) hope this is helpful. peace S.R.
