Question about 1996 Ford F150 Regular Cab
I am not too much of the "electronic transmission" person, but if the forward gears were working fine, it is very unlikely that they would suddenly be bad....I would think that it may be a sensor, switch of something minor? If the shifting mechanism to the transmission is cable operated, try to unhook it at the transmission and see if it makes a difference. Of course, you would have to put it back into park at the steering column, then switch the transmission into drive at the transmission lever, start only with wheels blocked and emergency brake on....be extremely careful as I refuse to be liable for anything that may happen as a result of my suggestion, therefore, I ask you to try at your own risk, etc.
