Question about 2003 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
It used to turn off after I would open the door, but after I got my car checked out at the dealership for a waterpump, thermistat, coolant flange and ac issues, now it stays on ALL of the time...Key or no key - Doors open or closed - locked or unlocked - alarm on or off - I know I will forget to turn it off one of these days and kill the battery! Is there something that I can do to turn this function back on??
It may be a short in the door sensor itself. You can always remove the bulb for the time being. Otherwise, wires, relays, and door senor will have to be tested for short or open circuit.
