Car ran fine to the gas station, stopped to put in the gas. Restarted the car and she wouldn't accelerate above idle without dying completely. fuel pump is new, exhaust removed to test catalytic conve

Have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge ? Is it possible you got a tank of bad gas ? Have you tried running the car with the gas cap off to check for venting problems ?

My 91 blazer (Jimmy) just quit running. Looks like getting gas. Just turns over and over. Won't start. Just instantly WTF?!

What do you mean it looks like its getting gas ? Try removeing the fuel filter its an in line filter located on the frame rail under the drivers door . Then put a plastic soda bottle on the line that is comeing from the gas tank and turn the key to run for 5 seconds . If you don't get at least 3 to 4 ounces of fuel then your fuel pump is bad . Or its the relay in the glove box or its the oil pressure sending uint . Have you been haveing problems with the oil pressure gauge or dose it start hard a long cranking time . Long cranking is the relay oil pressure problems is the sending unit but it is a back up power supply for the fuel pump . If the filter is clogged the pump is probably shot you could try replaceing the filter but that pump olny last 10 years at best it just depends if its been replaced at one time witch may be likely seenig its 20 years old the new ones were better a lot of upgrades on them check it out i can't do it for you olny you can do it good luck

Camry just quit running. I can't hear fuel pump,

The engines oil pressure switch has a third wire which is connected to the fuel pump. The oil pressure gauge may work although the third wire to the pump may be at fault causing your delimma
Once the engines oil pressure reached the normal operating range the computer shuts down the oil switches third wire to the pump and the relay takes over until you shut the emgine off

2000 s-10 trouble starting if i dont turn key to on,wait, start

It sounds like your loosing your fuel pressure prim. There is a check valve at the fuel pump and when it goes bad, the fuel pump unit needs to be replaced and that will also address your gas gauge issues. If yo go to Auto Zone you can buy a replacement fuel pump and they will have the step by step instructions for you to replace the fuel pump. I'll give you a hint, remove the Bed from the rails since there is only about 8 bolts holding it down. This is easier then dropping the gas tank to get to the fuel pump in the tank. Also lone out a fuel pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure at the Shredder valve and do a pressure drop, once you have the proper fuel pressure 60 to 65psi, see how long it will take for the fuel system to drop. If it drops quick, time to replace the fuel pump and replace the fuel filter too since your doing all this work. Good luck friend. Keep me posted if you have any other questions.

Gas gauge, cruise control quit after front end collision.

THEY ARE SEPARATE PROBLEMS, YOUR GAS GAUGE PROBLEM COULD BE ELECTRICAL OR THAT YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR FUEL PUMP WHICH IS INSIDE THE GAS TANK. AS FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM, IT COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS THE SWITCH BEING BROKEN.

My 01 bonneville oil pressure gauge is showing 120 and my gas gauge is all over the place

HI, the oil pressure sending unit may be malfunctioning at this point. this will cause erratic readings. if your oil level is proper and there are no apparent oil leaks, you will need to replace the oil pressure sending unit. this will fix the erratic oil pressure readings.

Concerning the gas gauge. this device also has a sending unit that sends the correct fuel level reading to the gas gauge via wire transfer. this sending unit is located and attached to the fuel pump assembly inside the gas tank. replacing this device will fix this issue as well.

Please rate and god bless:)

05 Neon Bogged Down

Try the a full tune up. Change your plugs, oil, and filters. Put in some fuel conditioner and try getting fuel from a different gas station. The fuel filter sounds like an inexpensive and important part of this equation. But try the tune up to whatever is cost effective for you. You should notice quite a difference.

FUEL PRESURE / FUEL GAUGE

Buick with a 5.0?? OK, regardless, pressure should not drop like that. Possible that fuel filter is full of **** & should be changed, or, you may indeed have a bad pump... (can happen). Sending unit: sounds like you have the leads reversed or the unit is somehow different than the one you replaced.

Fuel gauge stopped working

Can't say for sure since you did not include year of your car but more than likely it's the fuel sending unit that requires replacement. Some years you can replace just the level sensor on the fuel sending unit but both repairs involve dropping the gas tank and opening to remove the fuel sending unit.
