1998 Jeep cherokee Marker (left side only) lights not working

98 Cherokee sport running lights not working. Is there a seperate fuse panel for this besides, the one uinder the hood? If so where? In the back rear compartment behind spare tire, i bypassed the trailor harness and still no juice. I know it can't be a fuse or all the lights wouldn't be working. It's only the left side running lights. Blinker, hazards, brake lights all work but no marker lights. Help!!!

Look in your owners manual for the location of the fuse panel. Thereis one under the hood and another under the dash. I believe it's on the left side. More than likely it's a blown fuse.

You have two sets of fuses. One set is on the passenger side kick panel, the other is under the hood attached near the battery labeled power distribution center.

On my 98 jeep cherokee when connecting the tailgate replace kit I accidentally touch the yellow left turn wire, with the brown tail light wire. As result my left side on the 4 way exterior dim lights no...

If it happened the way you described it. I don't see how it could possibly have damaged anything. I guess what you are saying is that the left tail lights are not working? ("4 way exterior dim lights"???) Touching the tail light wire to the turn signal wire will only cause your turn signals to light up. (I am assuming that the tail light switch was on at the time)
I think it is more likely that the brown wire touched ground. This would make a bright flash, blow a fuse and cause the symptom you are describing...I think you need to check the fuse again.
There are separate fuses for the left and right sides. The left side tail lamp fuse is fuse #7 in the junction block it is a 10 Amp fuse. The junction block is located on the right cowl side inner panel - We are NOT talking about the Power Distribution Center under the hood.

All of the above is also assuming that we are talking about a plain Cherokee, Cherokee SE, Cherokee classic or Cherokee Limited.

If we are talking about any of the Grand Cherokees, you may have a fried lamp outage module.

My dash panel lights do not work and my rear lights don't work. Both stopped working at the same time. 1992 jeep cherokee. Is it a fuse? Which one? Where are the fuses?

The dash lights are on the same circuit as the tail lights. This was done so the operator of the vehicle would know the rear lights were not functioning. Almost all of the time the problem is only a faulty fuse. Replace the fuse and if this becomes frequent check the wiring going to the rear lights for a short.

2000 Jeep Cherokee #7 10 amp fuse

You will have to check the positive wire of the wires that go to the parking and side marker lights for a short to ground.Check the easy things first like the bulbs for these lights. It could just be a shorted bulb. You can remove one at a time and see when the fuse stops blowing. You an get a short finder from a part store and save the trouble of getting a bunch of fuses.Hope this helps.Good luck.

F150 Ford 1998 is there a fuse for a trailer and where is it located? Thank you

There are a few fuses for the trailer tow adapter.

1st, is theodd location on the 97-98, engine mini fuse panel has a 20 A fuse forthe stop / turn lamps. Have seen it covered in tape from the factory onsome 97-98 MY trucks.
This is on page 142 in the owners 1997 manual, all the revisions for the 1998 owners manual I have seen do not include this fuse box for some reason.

Download a PDF version from Ford, for the 1997 MY at :

https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp

This is a picture of the Power Distribution Box, additional relay box and engine mini fuse panel with the covers off. The 20A in the upper right panel with the red base, is the trailer stop/turn fuse.

The others :
1. Power Distribution Panel / engine compartment fuse panel
Fuse #1 - Trailer tow back-up and tail lamps
Fuse #16 - Trailer tow battery charge and stop/turn lamps
Fuse #28 - Trailer tow electronic brake

2. Instrument Panel Fuses ( cab fuse panel by hood release )
#23 - trailer tow battery charge relay
