Are you sure it is the tail lights and not the brake lights? If the park lights are staying on, the front should be on as well in most cases. If it is the brake lights staying on, suspect a faulty brake light switch located at the brake pedal

Wheel speed sensors misadjusted, damaged , or metal shavings and other debree, since they are magnetic can give false readings from one of the wheel circuits. Over sized tires can give of false speed readings as well. there are many other causes including bad relay, control module, e.t.c. It is best to have the proper scan tool to diagnose an ABS problem

SOURCE: where do i find a knock sensor a 1993 gmc sierra

Should be on the right side of the engine by the starter.Has a 1 wire connector. It does not go into the cooling system so you can just take it out without draining the coolant.Hope this helps.Good luck.

SOURCE: tail lights not working. fuses

do the front marker/park lights work if not you could have a bad light switch on the tail light side of the switch.you need to check the brown wire at the back of the truck in the wiring harness as this is the tail light wire that feeds the bulbs.if you have power there then you will have to check for power at the socket,if no power at the socket but were you check the wire then there is a problem between the two that you will have to check out.if there is no power when checking the wire then you will have to check for lose of power between the switch and rear wiring.make sure the fuse is good by using a test light and not by looking as sometimes they look good but don`t work.

Testimonial: "Thanks a million!!! problem solved, just a simple loose connection at switched saved me $$$$ from taking it to the shop. thanks for the info!!"

Keep blowing turn b/u fuse as soon I turn on key 1993 gmc sierra

Check out your tail lights, sounds like they are grounding out. Remove the bulbs install a new fuse and install one bulb back on at a time and turn the key if one does not blow the fuse then the socket has worn out.

1993 GMC Sierra 4x4, no brake lights, no rear running lights

If you still have this problem maybe this will help. I had to replace the trailer plug on a 93 GMC Sierra K1500 and had a problem with the light's not working. Had to trace wires from trailer plug up to tail lights. The problem was a broken ground wire. It took longer to remove all the tape and replace it than fixing the problem.
