If you have the 3.3 V6 it's the hydraulic lifters. Mine does it to & I'm a hair under 100k. Apparently there was a TSB about this at some point but from what I read the noise is very common and won't cause harm. I've also read that people have had the lifters replaced and the noise eventually came back. What I did was add a measured amount of Sea-Foam to my oil about 100 mi before I change it. You add 1.5 oz for every quart, the 3.3 v6 holds 3.5 quarts, 1.5 x 3.5 = 5.25 oz. I then replaced the oil with full synthetic oil and the noise at start up is gone for me. I do my own changes so I plan to do this every time. 3.5 qts of oil seems a bit light for a 3.3 liter engine(the 4 cylinder takes more) My best guess as to the cause of the lifter noise could come from minor deposit build up accelerated over time by the engine circulating a small (IMO) quantity of oil more often. There's a great write up on properly Sea-Foaming your engine here: http://ls1tech.com/forums/general-maintenance-repairs/534376-how-seafoam-your-car.html
This is for GM engines so pay no attention to the measurements, only procedures.

Have ticking sound when idling goes away when given gas. Checked oil it's okay think it's a stuck lifter if so how can this be fixed it's on 95 Nissan pathfinder

I had lifter tick in my 300zx and added Rislone engine treatment. Worked great. Give that a try. Make sure your oil is clean. Might be worth doing an oil change then adding the Rislone, per the directions. See if that helps before doing any more serious work.

Noise at start Nissan Frontier 2001. Sounds like valves.

Make sure the oil filter is fitted with a return valve, some after market filters don't have this valve, and the oil drains back to the sump when stopped, It takes a second or two after starting to build up pressure with type of filter, so there is a rattle.

02 Pomtiac Bonneville SSEI Help?

This sound like you have either delay on internal lubrication to tappets, most probably due to correct oil either change or viscosity.
In how many miles you do change the oil ? Just do an engine oil flush and a engine oil & filter change using also a viscosity improve and follow for a different engine behavior.

Makes like a ticking or light knocking noise at start up, whether it's hot or cold outside. I usually let the truck idle for a while and it goes away.

Usually a sign of needing an oil change. My Dodge Dakota does the same thing, when I change the oil it goes away. Every couple of oil changes I use kerosene to clean out the gunk, just put kerosene in place of the oil, let the motor run for a minute then drain, replace the oil filter, and fill with oil, then you're good to go.

My oil pressure gauge goes up and down then stays in the LOW, also I have no power... my truck will only get up to 40MPH... is it possible the oil pump? ?

Not sure about the oil pressure problem. May be the gauge or sending unit. Does the engine start ticking or knocking when pressure goes low?If not you probably still have good pressure.
The loss of power may be a stopped up catalitic convertor. I've had one Frontier that this has happened to.

Ticking noise when car is cold than warms up and usually goes away sometimes when sitting at a light can here it

Sounds like your lifters are making this noise.
When was the last time you changed your oil?
And make sure you use the right weight oil for your engine.the wrong oil can cause this as well.

My 02 frontier sc turns over but wont start high pictched sound when ignition is turnin over, timing belt? was driving and it shut off on its own

how many miles? it could be the timing belt. some engines will destroy valves, etc. when the T-belt breaks. that is why the mfg. insists you change it between 60-90k miles. i'm not sure if nissan is one of those that causes major problems to the engine when the belt goes? better safe than sorry, change @ the recommended interval. good day.

I have a ticking noise in the serpentine.

sounds like you have a pulley going bad. if you can. remove the belt. have someone start the engine while you listen for the noise. if the noise goes away. one of the pulleys ( or more) are in need of replacing

Rapping/ticking sound in my 2001 Chevy tracker engine.

does it go tick tick tick tick and when it warms up it stops or goes quiet?
its your lifters not getting enough oil
when u change your oil it will stop till that oil gets worn out
you will have to replace the lifters or it can also be a slack oil pump not pumping oil around the engine like it should
