The filter on the engine is the high pressure filter , your low pressure sock type filter is in your fuel pump in the tank. If there is no fuel in the high pressure filter your fuel pump may be clogged or not working
it should be tested

Ist the fuel filter is inside the tank of the mazda mpv

filter is usually close to the tank and looks like a small canister with 2 lines connected to it..normally mounted flatwise in the side or front of the tank near the frame of the car..usually on the passenger side..repost if you find it...follow the gas lines that come out of the tank itself...

2004 MAZDA MPV P0171

The code is for fuel system lean bank one. That means the computer can not make the engine run rich enough to get the O2 sensor to switch from lean to rich.
It should also set a code for the cylinder miss, the problem could be dirt in the fuel filter or a problem with one of the injectors based on your statement about running low on fuel. It could also be a low fuel pressure problem due to stuff clogging up the screen in the gas tank. Sometimes the problem is the O2 sensor but I doubt it in your case.
You could try replacing the fuel filter and running some injector cleaner thru the fuel system to start with. The code needs to be cleared after the miss is repaired to see if the light will stay off.

Hello I have Mazda 2000 MVP when the gas is full the car run fain but if it's below the half level the car can not go faster than 40km.

Have your fuel pressure tested when above half and when it starts to run slow, you may find that you are losing fuel pressure when pump gets hot and at lower level. May be time for new pump, plus filter is part of fuel pump module inside gas tank. Be sure to have it tested though to confirm before replacing if necessary.

Hyundai 2003 Santa Fe 2.7V6 - engine turns over fine, doesn't seem to be getting fuel immediately. Eventually it starts after 5 or 6 seconds of turning over. Suspect fuel filter or fuel pump?

Initially I would agree fuel pressure had dropped off after shut down. This fuel filter is a sock screen attached to the fuel inlet tube of the fuel pump and is located inside the fuel tank with the fuel pump. This screen is rarely the cause. You'll need a fuel pump pressure gauge to verify the low fuel pressure at start up. Caution, sometimes this low pressure isn't a faulty pump, sometimes it's a poor wiring connection to the pump motor. An analog amp meter can verify if there is fluctuation/ing current flow to the fuel pump. A fluctuating current flow could mean poor connections, or could mean the pump has/is gone/going bad.

After my 1993 Mazda mvp is running for a few minutes, it starts to chug chug, like its not getting enough gas, then it starts to put out black smoke, when I start it later, it runs fine, then act up again,...

it may be the problem is in the fuel system. if it loosing power in idle means air trapped on the system. need to check filter, old filter must be replace, and the fuel line for leaks, need to be fix. then prime the system.

Is there a fuel filtr on a 2004 mazda mpv

I've never found an accessable extenal one on our 2004 MPV [crazy, huh?] But we have the official factory technicians service ["workshop"] manual, purchased from Mazda & it lists 2 fuel filters - it shows both are in the gas tank; the low pressure appears to be the simple screen on the pump intake & the high pressure is in the outflow from the pump - apparently connected to, or just under, the "fuel pump unit cover."   So the answer is: both the "low pressure" screen & what I would call the "real" high-pressure filter are inside the gas tank.. Hope that helps
Cheers, Bk
