if code is po128,coolant thermostat .coolant temp below thermostat regulating temp .was your car partially submereged under water either driving or idling? inspect mixture should rear 34 to 40 degrees with hydrometer,if not replace it,also inspect fan motors, run car at idle and see if fan runs continously for more than 3 min w/ a/c off you may have a problem in the circuit if it runs often

Subaru impreza 2001 engine light turns on and car runs ruff engine light turns off car runs better

Check Engine Light turns on?

You surely know, we have had those
for 35 years on all vehicles, & if any dash
light stays on after the motor is running, you
have a vehicle problem that has to be diagnosed

Have to check for OBD Codes--not keep using it

Then component test the system that set the fault
code, to find a problem

For most people that would be at a repair shop

What do you mean the code PO141 on subaru forest 1999?

code p0141 refers to heated oxygen sensor-2 bank1 heater control-circuit malfunction ===causes --wiring--Heated oxy sensor---ECM I would replace the sensor first and see it that fixes the fault. remember to use a code reader to reset the cpu or else the fault will reappear.

Engine hestitation, 2000 subaru forester

I think these codes are indicating a fault with your catalytic converter. The 02 sensors are each not returning the correct values to the ECM, causing a "suspect the 02 sensors" fault code.

You MUST read the fault codes to discover what cylinder is misfiring. Why not buy a cheap fault code reader. Here is one such reader. New OBD2 II EOBD Car Diagnostic Code Reader Live Data
