It could still be a fuel problem. The only way to be certain is to put a fuel pressure tester on it. Autozone may rent or loan fuel pressure gauges. Easy to hook up to the shrader valve on the engine fuel rail and test fuel pressure. With key on, pressure must be over 40 psi, 40-44psi is what is called for. If pressure drops below 40 after it starts, then you know it was a fuel problem. Either the fuel filter is clogged, or the pump quits because the oil pressure switch is faulty. That switch is tied into the pump circuit, keeps the pump running after the engine is running.
If fuel pressure stays good, maybe problem is in the ignition system. Have the Ignition Control Module tested, also the crank position sensor.

sounds like you have a huge vacuum leak at the engine, check under the hood for a sucking noise, I think you will find one.

Did you try checking or replacing the coolant sensor? I think you should replace it along with the thermostat. Are there any problems like sputtering or any unusual noises or symptoms? Smoke, anything?

This car uses r12 freon that is the old stuff but you can have your system converted over to the 134a.

To check injector pulse, you need 2 people. One is to crank the engine. The other is to watch the voltmeter connecting to the plug delivering the electrical signal to an injector. If during a period of cranking, there is no voltage displayed that means there is no injector pulse. Here is an image of connector port going into the injector to open its valve as needed.
