Question about 1988 Mercedes-Benz 300
My 1988 300 se wont start. turns over and may start once in a while, but dies (like running out of gas). Fuses are good on overvoltage relay.
The fuel shut off valve is not getting the correct amount of vacuum OR the fuel shutoff valve is failing.
You will need 1/2 to go over EVERY SINGLE vacuum line and check for leak.
Even it's look OK. Give it a little push to ensure 100% seal connection.
If this does not help then the vacuum switch next to the steering lock (behind dash) may be leaking or failing.
The switch is about $36 from the Mercedes dealer.
