Front heater/ac fan motor will not run on my 97 Plymth Voyager

My heater/ac fan motor would sometime not run unless I gave it a tap, with a cane, under the passenger side dash. It has quit running completely with or without taps. I have spent a lot of time on the internet and sticking my head under the dash, to no avail. I have also looked under the hood and found no joy. Anyone have suggestions on where to locate the fan? I have gotten a few quotes and they are all too high for replacing a $50 fan.

My heater/ac fan sometimes won't work. What do I check first?

$24the AC light does not light until you turn the fan on, that is ok, the issue with your fan only working sometimes is more than likely a faulty blower motor, in some cases it is the switch, when the motor does not turn on try tapping it and see if that makes it work, if it does then it is the motor.
the switch at autozone is part number SW295 and is $16
the motor at autozone with the blower wheel is part number PM136
cost is $24

Fan for heat and ac wont blow air. Makes A loud clicking sound

mcdevito75 here, The heater/Ac fan motor is a sealed unit, locate the fan motor, as you look at the engine from the front of the car the fan motor will be on your left side comming out of the firewall, It"s a round cylinder like and is black, from inside the car put the fan on, tap the fan motor itself with a screwdriver, small wrench, etc. see if it"ll start, if not have your local shop replace this fan motor.

Inside fan blower does not work

There is a fuse, but have you checked the blower motor? If the fuse is good, then bump the blower motor with you r hand with it on,see if it will try and come on,if it does, then the blower motor is bad, then check the blower relay. If this was at all helpful, please rate. The fuses are under the hood in the relay/fuse box on drivers side, and there are some on the inside, fuses.

Where is the heater fan relay located on 1990 mercedes 190e

If the heater is not working (fan is not turning), but you are able to press the climate control buttons to activate the AC and venting, then the relay (actually this is the ACC in the dash with the buttons, there is no separate relay that controls the AC/Heater fan) is not the problem. Check the fuse box in the right side engine compartment, then check the long 3A flat fuse located in a coverd case atop the the wheel well in front of the fuse box. If these are okay, the fan motor is the problem. If the motor needs to be replaced, you'll need to remove the front cowl under the windshield, and also the windshield wiper assembly. The motors usually bind after 20+ years and need to be replaced. Sometimes, they will bind, then work again. Sometimes they'll bind and blow the long fuse. The job takes about 2 hours and the motor is about $150-$250.

Possible AC fan rubbing 95 olds cutlass ciera

the next time it does this, locate heater blower motor and either give it a tap or grab a hold of it and see if it changes sound or goes away altogether. it could be squerl cage on heater fan maybe rubbing on heater box, or heater motor could be on its way out. if nothing happens when you do this at least you can elimenate that. it going away when you apply the break could just be happenstance, as heater motors start with little noise that last short time and progressely get worse over time. it also could be speedo cable, the cable itself runs inside a flexable tube, witch runs from speedo head to transmission and there is lubercant inside this tube and they can go bad, unless needle on speedo jumps around i dought its that. also i'am no expert, i just went to the school of hard knocks. hope something here will help.
