You probably have a short or a loose wire. This is likely what caused the fuse to blow in the first place.

SOURCE: tail light fuse keeps blowing on my 1995 geo prism

Took it to the shop. The side marker lights were missing on my son's car. The wiring loops from the side marker lights to the tail lights. As the wires were touching in the front, they shorted out the tail lights. Capped the wires, problem solved!
PS: ordered side marker lights, too.

SOURCE: 98 jeep tj, dash light/taillights/licence plate light don't work

disconnect head lights, and replace fuse. Then turn the light back on to see if it blow a fuse again. if not, plug on light in at a time. You might have a bad headlight???? then unplug that one if nothing happens. Then plug the other one in. It could also be a bad taillight bulb. I have had bad tail light bulbs. Do all of them, one at a time.

Check the owner's manual, and the cover on the fuse box. Fuse sizes will be listed for each location. Tail lights use more amps than dash lights.

Tail light/dash light fuse keeps blowing

The dash lights and parking lights should be on two different fuses.
You may have a problem with the headlight switch, or something in the harness.

THE VAN STARTED RIGHT UP AND I PUT IT IN REVERSE AND STARTED TO MOVE AND THEN THE VAN WENT DEAD. HEAD LIGHTS ARE OUT, DOME LIGHT IS OUT. BREAK LIGHTS WORK AND SOME DASH LIGHTS WORK. THE VEHICLE HAS ENOUGH...

I would guess that you either blew a main ignition fuse or the ignition switch melted.
The brake lights and starter don't use the ignition circuit.
You need to trace with a test light.
See if current comes out of ignition switch when you turn it on.
It has to be going into the switch for the starter to crank.
As to what blew the fuse, it could be a short in the backup light circuit?

Ford 2001 expedition, stuck in park, windows and wipers don't wor

One of your power wires is grounding to something, whether through a switch or relay.

I had wires fuse together that had the same effect in a vehicle years ago. Constantly blew fuses and happened to find the 2 wires fused under the dash in the steering console.

This is probably not your problem but there are very few things that cause those fuses to blow that rapidly.

Electrical is difficult to troubleshoot over the net though. Find out what the fuse goes to and try to follow the wires from point A to B as much as you can. May be as simple as a wire that the insulation is rubbed off or cut at a point and touching the body.

My 1990 toyota corolla tail lights and dash lights stopped working after i hooked up a stereo and sub and amp system...i checked the fuse and its good..i cant find any wiring problems..help? anybody?

which fuse did you check. verify the wiring to the radio than comes from the light switch to the radio. if all this worked before , then it has to be work that you have done. the only link from the light switch to the radio is for inst panel dimming. first disconnect that wire and ck fuse for tail lights. make sure there is power on both sides of the fuse, use a test light.
