I think it's the coolant liquid. Check the lever of the liquid under the hood!!!
If the rubber pipes get in connection with oil, it can cause leaking as it destroys the rubber... btw. these pipes aren't expensive... had the same problem after 350kmiles.Best, David

Hi, I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8, a few weeks ago I noticed oil leaking from the passenger side of the engine.

Sounds more like a valve cover gasket if it leaks on one side. If the oil leaks down the back look at the intake gasket.

97 isuzu rodeo 6cyl...changed my valve cover gaskets...now another oil leak under the left valve cover (pass. side) about mid way down...what that is it?

No idea without a good look myself but i would hazard a guess that the gasket is adrift somehow when refitting .

Oil leak for about 2 years. Mechanic tightened a few parts last week and I still see a leak. advise

Where is it leaking from is the first problem, Check around the valve cover. The gasket could be bad, which is fairly easy to replace. This would be my first place to check and hopefully that's all. If you see oil around the bottom of the valve cover where the bolts are, then i'd replace that.

VALVE COVER GASKET REPLACEMENT & AIR CONDITION RECHARGING

Well, tighten the valve covers down, just so the bolts are nice and snug on them. These kinda last how long they last, they are different for all cars. Maybe 60k to 80k, if you are lucky, they should be pretty easy on most cars to change. Use rubber bands to hold the gasket to the valve cover, in the bolt holes.
A/C, get a mechanic, these systems have a high pressure side, and a low pressure side, and if freon blows up on you, if freezes skin like you would not believe.

Use a film of gasket sealant on both sides of the new gasket when you replace it. When installing the cover, make sure there isn't any wiring or anything that could get caught under it.
