Thanks for your reply. All there is in the fender well are a few relays. No fuses. I think there is no fuse for the fuel pump on this model.

But our problem got solved in the meantime... we replaced the relay and the truck started just fine.

It's not there. And I'm already registered at Autozone and there's no diagram for this.

Found out later that there is no fuse for the fuel pump on this model. (We bought the $20 manual for the truck... it's a great help.)

    Thanks anyway guys.

Should be in the fuse/relay box on the fender well. If you register at autozone.com you will have access to a full online repair manual for your particular vehicle. It doesn't cost anything and is pretty handy. Hope this helped. Good luck

Were is a fuel pump located on a 1989 ford f150

In the fuel tank. If equipped with dual tanks, there is one in each tank. And one located on the frame rail, inner side, just under where the driver sits. If I've answered your question, please rate my assistance and leave a comment to help others in a similar situation. Thank you and Happy Holidays.

I have a 1991 Ford F150 4 x 4 inline 6 4.6L. Dual

your truck is a 4.9L, make sure you have power to the front tank fuel pump. is the power to the pump is ok and you can hear the pump run for a second or two when you key the vehicle on... replace the fuel tank selector valve

No fuel getting to the engine

Sometimes but what controls the switching is the selector thats right in front of the first tank closes to driver.Check your fuses first and have someone listen to the fuel pump and selector to hear any movement..You can also check for power at the selector if no power then follow wires up to rule out bad wires and fuses and relays..Also the thing you think is another pump is the tank selector. When you push button in dash thats what switches it to the tank you preferred..

Please Help ME by Remembering to RATE ME Thank you Vrey Much !!!

This vehicle does not use an external fuel tank switching valve. A supply check valve in the fuel pump assembly opens when the outlet pressure from the energized fuel pump exceeds the opposing check valve spring force.
