If you just disconnect it, your fuel pump and starter won't work. Contact a dealer to see if there is a bypass kit is available for your car.

We did what you said. Does the same thing. We found a fuel leek, could that be the problem? What can we do if we dont have the money to replace it.

I read your previous question. A fuel leak might cause a no start condition but it does need fixing because a fuel leak is dangerous.

You would have disconnected the battery while changing the alternator. Many modern vehicles are fitted with an immobiliser and disconnecting the battery can upset or confuse an immobiliser.

Before spending time and money in a search for a fault that maybe doesn't exist you should ensure any immobiliser is properly disarmed. Details will be found in the vehicle owner's handbook.

Car has immobiliser fault, want to disable immobiliser, what colour is the wire to immobiliser

If this immobilizer is a factory system, I don't think you can cut the wire and disable it. I think the computer will recognize it's disconnected and activate automatically.

Mazda 6 immobiliser light flashing and car will not turn over

Immobilisers may intercept one of three circuits; typically the low-voltage ignition circuit and the fuel pump circuit. Some may also intercept the low-current starter motor circuit from the key switch to the relay. The Immobilisers can be set to intercept these circuits IF you use a key that has been copied or someone tried to start the car with the key for another car. Once activated, most of the time they are on a timer, meaning they will reset in 10 to 20 minutes. You can try and reset yours by disconnecting the battery, remove both cables and touch the two cables together for ten minutes. Now if you have a radio that needs codes to reset it be sure you have the codes before disconnecting the battery. Some Immobilisers use a magnetic switch to turn off the car. buy disconnecting the battery and touching the cables together you will kill the magnetic field and reset it. Hope this helps fixya up.

My C Class immobiliser seems to be stuck. the red and green lights come on the rear view mirror. A few times disconnecting and reconnecting the battery has helped reset the immobiliser, but it is hit and...

Hello Abdul,
I had this problem and the solution is rather strange.... Change the battery in your remote key for a brand new fresh one and see if this solves the problem. Apparently, when the lithium battery is low, the central locking will continue to work but the immobiliser disarming circuit cannot decode the signal.
