Question about 2004 Nissan Sentra

Car makes rattling noise

The rattling seems to worst when the car is in gear with the brake on and when i turn the heater or a/c on. I was thinking that it's the motor mount but i'm not sure.

I would look more towards the belt tensioner. Look at it when idling, Then when some one puts it in gear. If it is jumping, which they do. See if it is coinciding with the clicking.

VW Golf 2007 1.9TDI, I was recently in a accident approx 20mph, and crashed head on into a turning car. What is making the kinda rattling/clicking noise, more noticeable during gear changes.

This could be almost anything from loose trim to broken body parts, you should get the car checked by bodyshop to make sure that it is safe to drive

'04 Altima - rattle under car

yea, flimsy plastic under front end, wheel wells, etc., could also be @ brake calipers, they have a flimsy metal clip that creates noise, all these will give you noise, just reinforce the plastic with screws,it works, some silcone will quiet the brake noise, check you CVjoints ,boots, make sure the rubber bellows are still attached, no cuts or splits with grease coming out, that would be a grinding noise. check your BELTS, worn or stretched needing replaced or tightened. that should do it.

When driving or starting the car i notice when using the brakes it makes a squeaking noise - not all the time think its possibly damp causing it as it was raining yesterday and it happened but no rain...

To address your first problem squeaking brakes aka "brake squeal", is most often casued by one or 2 things: "Pad vibration" or a "low brake warning sensor".

Pad vibation is usually caused by ineffective pad anti-rattling clips & hardware that allow the pads to vibrate at a super fast speed whenever the brakes are applied, thus causing a high pitch brake squeal. To correct this, replace all the pad hardware and anti-rattling clips and make sure you use a quality pad set that has anti-rattling plates attached to the backs of them. Weather conditions do affect brake squeal, that is why it seems to be worse at times.

Low brake warning sensor squeal occurs when your brake pads reach the point of replacement, the sensor attached to the pads scrapes on the rotor which produces a high pitch squealing sound to warn you it's time for new pads.

As far as your second problem goes (a knocking sound), I'll need more information about the problem before I can offer a possible cause (eg. happens on left or right turns, while going over bumps, at high or low speeds, accellerating...).

There is a rattling noise coming from my drivers side front tire, i have checked the lugnuts & everything seems tight?? any ideas would be appreciated.

Hard to tell without hearing it.
But you could have a pebble behind a wheel cover.
The wheel bearing could be going bad, but then you would also have some vibration through steering and brake.
The CV joint could be bad, but that would be worst on tight turns.

Is this only while driving it, or if you jack it up and spin the tire?
Does it feel loose when jacked up?
Is it hotter than normal?

you can disconnect the drive belt and run the engine to find if it is external or internal . if the noise goes away with the drive ( Fan Belt) off , before replcing the belt spin all pullies with your hand .

Exactly the same prob. on my 01 gs.

I think the "rattleing" you hear has nothing to do with the car or octane. Also, higher octane fuels generate less heat, believe it or not.

Mitsubishi Lancer ES '02 - Rattling noise in 1st gear...

I think you might need to ask someone to throttle up the car and you look underneath to try locating the rattling noise. Don't forget that this model runs the exaust pipe in front of the motor so it might be an exaust rattle as well??
Cheers
