Semi cold a/c

if everything works such as compressor, fans blowing, lines are cold to your evaporator the next thing would stop the flow to evaporator is 45 bucks expansionvalve stuck or clog not allowing the cold charged feon to flow completely into your evaporator. if you can get to your evaporator and fell the unit ( it also look like small radiator) using your hand and feel the cooling fins to see if it cold. If it not, then it stop at expansionvalve. Expansionvalve work like a valve/gate it open up and close.

1999 Dodge Ram AC blows cold at idle and up to 40 mph

Most likely the orifice tube/expansion valve needs to be replaced. Depending on the type of system, you will have one or the other but they both perform the same function. The expansion valve is typically located at the evaporator inlet. Orifice tubes can be located at the evaporator inlet, in-line between the condenser and the evaporator, or in the condenser outlet. You will have to discharge the system in order to replace. Not very hard to do.

if your high pressure side feels cold it's not suppose to be. you have a blockage and chances are it's your dryer. the high pressure shoiuld be hot not cold. go get it evaced and replace the dryer and recharge. also make sure you power wash the condenspor dirt and grime block the airflow.

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 club cab. I have had my a/c recharged but it is only blowing barely cold air. It used to shut down when I accelerated and blow hot air before. I don't have that problem anymore except barely cold air. Any solutions?
