First of all get your tranmission fluid and filter changed not flushed, second of all their is a wire underneath that plugs into the tranny that is held on by a bolt clip, if this wires rubs through and grounds out which it usually does it will take out your over drive and the light will flash, your top speed will be 45 MPH.

You will not lose the codes they will come back, head to a transmission shop, there is a internal problem and the longer you drive it the more internal damage is being done.

Check your battery terminals for corrosion. Also check the body ground from the neg. Terminal could be loose or corroded.

2004 Ford Sportrac having problems with trans OD flashing on and off and sticking in gear?

When the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) isn't engaging or locks in engagement the light flashes a warning...The TCC solenoid may stick due to dirty transmission fluid...If the Check Engine Light
(CEL) is not lit have your transmission fluid changed...If it is lit the code is probably pointing at a defective TCC, Computer (PCM) or the clutch itself... you can take the vehicle to an auto parts store and have them read and define the trouble code for free...saailer

2007 ford f150 will not start. IGNITION DOES NOT BUZZ WITH KEY IN, GEAR WILL NOT SHIFT. LIGHTS WILL TURN ON. THE STARTER HAS BEEN DRAGGING. DOES NOT CLICK WHEN I TURN THE KEY. WHAT COULD MY PROBLEM BE

Pull off the neg and use jumper cables connected to another vehicles battery. Attach the jumper normally on the other vehicle, attach the Pos to your battery pos and then attach the neg jumper cable to the disconnected neg cable on your truck. My suspicion is that your battery may test well with a volt meter but cannot take any load on it. It should be floating at 13.5 to 13.8, not 12vdc.

I have a 2002 ford explorer and sometimes its hard to shift to drive and the brake lights don't work unless I press really hard on the pedal.

*Hard to shift:
-Possible the shift cable need to be adjusted.
*Brake light is no working unless step(press really hard).
-Need to adjust the brake light switch. It's too closed or stuck.

When was last trans fluid & filter change? Should be done every 30k/3yrs or sooner if you do any towing. I'd start there and have it flushed.

MY O/D LIGHT IS FLASHING FORD EXPLORER 2003

Hi Bogopolsky70,
This is an indication of an internal failure. You need to have the codes pulled to see what the concern is. You want to do this as soon as possible. The transmission may go to a modified shift pattern and full line pressure. It is not good to drive it too long like this.
Anyway, have the codes pulled and send them to me and I can get you the information about them. Thanks,Chuck
