SOMETHING WRONG...

sounds like a vent door selenoid, a frayed wire to the selenoid. The selenoid operates the vent door to close, or allow outside air into car

2000 Mercury Grand Marquis only blowing through dash vents

C Craft, it could be a couple of different things but from what you stated my best guess is it's going to be a issue with the door that diverts the air to the position that your selector knob is in on the climate control on the dash. If you can turn the selector knob and actually hear the actuator moving the door but the air doesn't change vent positions, then I would say the door is broke.
Now, you also want to check and make sure that there is vacuum going to the control. The main vacuum line coming from the engine is located around the passenger side firewall under the hood. Make sure the line is not broke or come unhooked. You can pull the control head out of the dash and actually crank the engine and check to see if it's getting vacuum that way by unplugging the vacuum line assembly from the back of the control head. If your getting vacuum to everything, then it will have to be a problem with the door itself which is in the air box behind the dash and it is not a easy fix. I would suggest having a qualified mechanic look at it if what I have told you don't check out. Hope this helps you.

I have a 99 Mitsubishi montero sport and when i turn the air on nothing comes out, no air at all and it does not matter if i turn all the nobs nothing happens i can hear something turn on under the hood...

Hi there, you need to take the blower motor out and power it to see if its not seased, if its not then replace the blower motor regulator. If the motor is seased then replace the blower motor.

When i use the normal A/C Or Max A/C, cold air comes out like normal. When I turn to floor or panel/floor, it seems like the a/c is still blowing. Am I missing something here? Isn't there a fresh air vent...

could have a vent not opening properly. be sure nothing has fallen down defrost vent. as you change positions on dial should change where air comes out.

Floor vents not working in my Avalon.

When you turn the dial to the floor vents, do you hear anything. You should hear a flap or something move after the dials been turned. There's a flap (direction control) just above the blower behind the passenger side dash. This directs the air to where it's supposed to go. It sounds like yours may have come loose
