Your fuel pump is going to be located inside the fuel tank, you will have to remove the fuel tank to access it. Hope this helps

2004 ford explorer stalling

if the engine dies at idle like when you hit the brakes at a stop light, most likely itis your IAC idle air control valve. It's the little cyllindrical valve has 2 bolts and an electrical plug located on your throttle body. Unplug it and unbolt. I cleaned mine thoroughly with parts cleaner and also lubricatd with wd40 and put it back on about 18000 miles ago and not an issue yet. fixed my problem. I ll get a new next time
