Question about 1996 Toyota Camry
Have tried several times to reinstall the filter attempting to get a better alignment for the flange nut but it is still leaking at bottom. Could it be the internal filter gasket? Should I try a toyota made filter?
Hi. Welcome to FixYa. Let me try to help. First, remove the fuel filter from the fuel line, and look REAL CLOSE at the threads on the fuel line; see if they are "damaged" in ANY way, If so, your filter will never seal. If the threads are indeed damaged, you will have to replace the fuel line back to the tank. This is a quite common problem, I see this very often in my shop.
