There are 4 wires going to the spark plug coil assembly, red, yellow, green/white and blue. Which of these wire do I connect the signal wire of a Tachometer to ?

SOURCE: vihicle died won't start

My 92 Subaru would not start. New rotor, cap, replaced fuel filter. No gas getting to filter. When gas trickled in carb, runs like a top. I think the fuel pump out.

check your timing belts .beaking belts in this cold isnt out of the normal.

SOURCE: eng. shakes spits/sputters oil in spark plugs

I just had this fixed on my suby today. The cause is that the spark plugs, go through the valve covers on the 2.5 l .When the o rings in the cover go, the result is oil in the spark plugs. The cost of the repair in Canada was about $500 including diagnostics as well as new plugs and wires About 1.5 hours labor and new seals and gaskets. It now runs like new. This is a common problem for this subaru engine as well as for the dodge neon.

Specifically I'm trying to identify the wire on the spark plug coil assembly to which I should connect the signal wire of a Tachometer to. The wire colours are, red, yellow, green/white, and blue.

Vehicles with Manual Transmission require Clutch Switch.
Some vehicles may require a speed signal generator and/or other parts/adapters not listed above.
Rostra® Cruise Control module switch settings may differ if you use a speed signal generator or magnets and a pick up coil.
