My radio is completely messed up. I just bought the car and whenever I hit the on button, the radio shows that its on, but I don't hear any sound. What's the problem with it and how do I fix it?

The same thing happened in my 2000 beetle. One day I was driving down the road and my CD player just froze. When I got home I unhooked the battery and let it sit for about 90 seconds and it came back on. Only problem now is my clock won't switch from military time. I can deal with that though.

My blinkers work intermittenly and then not at all. what is causing that on my 2000 vw beetle?

Either the signal lever or the blinking relay are defective. Replace the relay , if this doesn't fix it then replace the lever.

Everything resetting to zero

Low battery voltage. 11.5V min. For both radio and instrument cluster to cut out like that points to low voltage. Does your clock reset to 12:00 too? A scan readout is needed for assessing your problem. I'm sure there are DTC's stored in your ECU memory.

1999 VW Beetle outside temp display not working

For general awareness, the outside air temperature sensor is located above the inside mirror.
Try to reset the temperature measurement unit: 1. Switch engine on. 2. Press and hold clock minute (min) and hour (h) buttons simultaneoutly longer than 3 seconds. The display will show new temperature measurement unit.
