I think the voltage regulator on your replacement alternator is faulty, and is not holding voltage down far enough. 16-18 volts is far too much.

1991 toyota camry a/c button light flashing. no cold air.

When these lights flash it means there is a problem with the AC system, that can be a low charge and that is the most common issue.

Battery is only chargeing intermittently I think. Both lights and battery warning dashboard warnings come on, and stay on when I start the car. I believe the lights icon is only to alert you to a failed...

You need to measure the charging voltage and current using a multimeter while Rev'ing the engine. If there is no clean flow to the battery then you need to start from the alternator, the output ac and the charging regulator section which rectifies and controls the charging. The alternator can be taken out and checked individually , if there is a steady AC flow. Check the battery ground and also the charging regulator which is usually an extra unit- trace the lines of the alternator to this unit.

My 1991 toyota camry ac / heater won't work? I checked fuses, and none burnt other than the enclosed ones that you can't see into.

bets way to check fuses is to get one of those 12v illuminated screwdriver testers wit ha wire to connect to earth so you can test for voltage, then test each fuse individually in situ by touching both sides of the fuse and see if both sides light up

Battery will not charge after jump starting. No power at all.

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD ALTERNATOR YOU SHOULD HAVE 14 VOLTS DC @ THE ALTERNATOR WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING. AND NOTHING OVER .05 VOLTS AC
