I ran my 98 bonneville out of gas. Now it is hard

I ran my 98 bonneville out of gas. Now it is hard to start, hard to keep running, it takes about five minute before I can keep the engine running. It pops a lot, It revs up to high RPMs then I let of the throttle and it shifts. Then I have to floor it again to keep it running. Is this the computer needing reset. How do I reset the computer.

Try disconnecting the battery overnight. otherwise..you need a scan tool to read the codes and reset the computer

91' bonneville ran out of gas and now it wont stay running unless my foot is on the gas

Check TPS -Throttle Position Sensor

May be worn out

Test it --not replace-- unless it has failed a test

Also the fuel pump maybe worn out as well

98 dodge ram 1500 Truck ran out of gas. It will start w/ starter fluid sprayed in filter but will not stay running.

Since the fuel pump is in the gas tank, your pump picked up debris, and dirt on the bottom of the tank and ran it into your fuel filter.
Replace fuel filter, and check fuel pump fuse.
Running your vehicle with less than a 1/4 tank of gas is hard on the pump, because the fuel pump uses gas to cool it.
Please let me know what you find.

No electical power on 98 Bonneville

Sounds like bad battery contact or ground. Take them off and clean with sand paper.
