The trouble code should tell you which 02 sensor? The 02 sensors are in the exhaust, sensor 1/sensor2, whatever, bank 1/bank2, whatever, before the cat, after the cat. You have several 02 sensors in the exhaust, don't know which one?
You should be able to remove/install with proper size wrench or deep socket. They do make an 02 sensor socket that has that slot in it, not sure if you need that, though.

My info showed a front and rear 02 sensor, meaning, one before the cat converter and one after. If you replace both, it doesn't matter, if they are both the same. My info shows a special tool, w/o being able to look at it, I don't know if you need the special tool.
I don't know what you mean by weld or clipped? Most 02 sensors I've seen are threaded.

Where is the oxygen sensor on a 2006 Buick rendezvous 3.5 engine

There are four O2 sensors on your vehicle. Two for each bank of the engine. There will be one between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter and one near the end or just after the catalytic converter for each bank. If you are receiving a DTC indicating a sensor is bad, you need to see which sensor the code indicates. It will say something like bank 2 sensor 1.

Based upon the design the of replacement part, it appears that it would be bolted to the transmission bell housing at one side of the engine adjacent to the flywheel where it can sense the flywheel teeth passing the sensor head.

How do I change the o2 sensor A in a 2006 Buick Rendezvous 3.5

Sensor A is going to be one on the exhaust pipe close to the engine. Sensor B is behind (or in) the catalytic converter. Now we need to know if it is on bank 1 or bank 2... you can get them off with s 13/16 socket or wrench.
