Wow no year.... ill toss coin and answer for 1st year.
the throttle body has throttle valve and shaft
on end of shaft is throttle cable to right toe (gas pedal)
and other end goes to the TPS. mounted to TB side.
on many cars old,,its calibrated, don't play with screws
until you read the FSM book on how to do that.
on modern cars the ECU learns the TPS settings
auto calibrated and learned.
not this relic. (efi wise)(end coin toss)

Where the large hose from the air cleaner connects to the engine. That is the mass airflow meter. The sensor is attached to it.

SOURCE: Oxygen Sensor on '99 Isuzu Trooper

The O2 sensor is on the engine side (up stream) before the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe, it is barrel shaped about the size of a jumbo magic marker.

SOURCE: isuzu trooper problem!with a 00 3 litre diesel engine not starting

Was it lined up right as the trigger point for the sensor is important. Is the fly wheel fitted one position only that the bolt holes line up or will it fit no matter which position it bolts up Line up the flywheel trigger with the sensor after you have put the engine to Top Dead Centre.Put at tdc and see if the trigger and sensor are together.

SOURCE: IAT sensor

The intake air temperature sensor can be found in the air intake duct, or threaded into the intake manifold depending on which engine you have.

SOURCE: where is throttle position sensor located on 2000 honda passport

Normally attached at opposite end of throttle linkage. Remove your air cleaner intake hose at throttle body, and observe throttle plate that opens & closes as you press accelerator, it will be at the end of that, on outside of housing.

1999 3.5 L engine Isuzu TROOPER. I am getting 2 or 3 different answers for locating the camshaft position sensor on my 1999 3.5 L engine Isuzu TROOPER

No one here is going to be able to give you VIN Based information on any vehicle. If you want that, take a month subscription to AllData, com, or ask on JustAnswer.com.

Not sure where you are getting 2 or 3 different answers', but on this site, you will be shown SUGGESTED Answers, and they are often wrong and will show you ANYTHING that mentions Isuzu and camshaft..

Most of the information online leads to to Isuzu Rodeo, this search query forces it to show 'Trooper'. The fly in the ointment is that there are 2 engines.

Why does my isuzu trooper 3.5 run at 1600 revs ticking over when warm

The idle is controlled by a TPS-throttle position sensor, and when it goes out, this is one of the signs, the other sign is that it will not idle. The TPS is located on the throttle body, and is attached with a couple of screws and has a plug in. I would recommend that you unplug, and replug the TPS before buying a new one, as they can lose connectivity. If that does not work, then I would recommend that you get a new one. You can pick one up at any auto parts store.

Isuzu MU (Trooper) 3.1TD automatic transmission

There may be a detent cable on the throttle,on the throttle body.If there is,it will be adjustable. There will be a release button, where the throttle case mounts to the throttle body.Push this release all the way in,and move the throttle, full throttle, and release the throttle, then release the button. If there is not a cable, then there may be a separate switch. It may be bad,or it could be adjustable. The throttle position switch is on the throttle, opposite side of where the throttle cable is fastened. It may be adjustable.

I have replaced the throttle position sensor, egr valve, o2 sensors, mass air flow sensor, fuel system, and my 99 trooper idles high, and shuts off

Check the Idle accelerator valve located on front side of throttle body, it is either stuck or needs cleaning real bad, this is what controls your idle speed, by letting small amount of air in. It has a plunger on it that moves back and forth slowly to adjust amount of air mixture, it is controlled by computer. Unplug it and just turn on key and check for voltage. This valve gets real gummed up, probably need to take apart throttle body and clean. HUNT

1992 isuzu trooper 3.2 DOHC 4X4 LOW IDLE GOES UP AND DOWN 750 RPM TO 1500 RPM

I had the same trouble with my 93 Trooper.

I went on a sensor-changing spree.

The one sensor that fixed this idle problem was the throttle position sensor.

You can get one here.

Throttle Position Sensor

It's very easy to change, and fixes the problem instantly.

Good luck.
