Can I get a manual window door from the salvage yard and replace the power windor door on my 1988 chevy c1500 that doesnt work?

Yes, you can get a Manuel operated window and install it in your present door you just have to disconnect and remove the present window motor and the elec. You may have to change the door pad as well so you have a hole in the panel for the manual crank for the window.

I need a diagram so i can replace right side elec. window unit

You must have the replacement window mechanism before you attempt to take off the door panel. You don't want double the work ! Window winder mechanisms come with or without motors depending on your needs ! It can be tricky but perfectly possible by a confident DIY'r.The door panel has pop fasteners and 2/3 screw/bolts in the door pull/inner handle.

Driver window off track

Sounds like you need a new window regulator. If you can hear the motor when you push your elec window button then you know that is fine. Not an uncommon problem as there are several plastic pieces that can break in the tracking mechanism and the cables will get tangled. You will have to "unsnap" the bottom of the inner door panel and lift up to remove it. Step one is to remove the screws: usually a screw or two around the center of the door panel, generally in the bottom of the inner door handle recess. You'll find access holes in the sheet metal that will allow access to your regulator. Do a search on window regulator replacement for your vehicle on utube and you'll probably find a video how to. I've replaced 3 of my 4 regulators in the past 2 years for the same reason. Once you remove your faulty regulator, you just swap over the motor into the new part. Generally not a high degree of difficulty.

The drivers door window quit working I need to check the wireing and or plugs how do you remove the door panel?

The electric window motors have a tendency for the ceramic magnets to brake apart and lock up the motor. Pull the door panel and check the motor. To remove the motor and replace it. Remove the window switch bezel, the trim plate surrounding the power window switch, by prying it out of the door panel with the trim tool or a butter knife. Once the switch is out, turn it over to access and disconnect the wiring harness by hand Remove the screw behind the bezel with the Phillips screwdriver. Remove the screws across the bottom of the door panel with the Phillips screwdriver.Remove the bezel behind the inner door handle with the trim tool. Remove the screw behind the bezel with the Phillips screwdriver. Lift the door panel up and off the door.Move the window glass up, by hand, to the top of the window frame. Tape the glass in place with the packing tape to make sure it doesn't come down while you're working on the motor Unbolt the window motor from the regulator and the door with the socket set. Unplug the wiring harness from the body of the window motor by hand and then pull the motor out of the door. Place the new window motor in position. Bolt the motor to the door and to the window regulator with the socket set. Plug the wiring harness into the new motor. Reinstall the door panel and bezels in reverse of how you removed them. Remove the packing tape from the window glass when done.
Hope this helps FixYa up.

How to remove inside door panel, passenger side, to look at window track

Screws in the door pull under the rubber matt - then poppers all around the door edge. when panel is loose look carefully behind and disconnect elec plugs for windows and speakers. Then carefully work the door panel over and past the door release handle - this is tight and can be awkward take your time. The window mech. often breaks as it is plastic !! order a new mech but keep your motor as this is a separate item to buy! the lifter is released by a plastic pin to the glass mount - you have to push it out - again awkward - take care with this
hope this helps - good luck !
