Does the 2004 jeep grand cherokee have a reverse rotation water pump? the Haynes repair manual says it is, but when trying to order the part i'm getting confliction info...the part description says st

new quote a Haynes, rag, they are just a witches brew of mixed data.
they SUK.
there are more than one engine? 6 meanms nada.
and you can buy a pump at any dealer, and will fit,
what is the problem here.>?
my guess,. is car has the I6, 4.0L engine, (its like sliced bread common) vast support on the engine exists.
where are you buy? fleabay, (omg) NAPA auto or JEEP. or rockauto.
and 04 GC, I6. 4.0L OHV not the SOHC 6. (as you can see there are not just one 6 cylinder engines at jeep, not at all)

my motto: fixing cars is easy , finding good spare parts is much harder. (and getting worse with clone junk out there)

id i guess right, your engine?
if not say so.

1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Keeps overheating. Replaced water pump, hoses, thermostat and belt. Runs between 220 & 240 without a/c on. Have been told it is either the coolant sensor or the fan...

Clutch Fan are known to fail over time, but I wold not rule out the radiator. The small passages inside the radiator will clog due to age. You did not mention how many miles are on the Jeep or if the Aux fan is kicking on.

Install new motor in 91 jeep 4.0L all new parts (water pump ,rad, hoses, plugs... ran fine going down hill started to over heat.. when to a shop and they check thermostat. seem ok replace and drove home...

You probably have an air lock. Remove a heater hose and get all the air out. Then run it with the rad cap off until it warms up. You should see the water level drop when it finally goes, or if you got the air out with the heater hose, it should be okay.

1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport is leaking antifreeze in

Its probably the seal around the water pump shaft dried out from sitting. You'll have to replace the water pump. Plan most of a Saturday if you have never done it before.

Water pump pulley 1996 jeep cherokee

James, I believe the pulley is just bolted to the pump shaft, so u should be able to remove it and reuse it. The play in it is in the shaft of the water pump, so the pulley should be fine, just remove and bolt to the new pump.
